Hours of Operation: The park is open from 6 am to 8 pm. The Marina is open from 6 am to 7 pm. All rental boats are due in at 7:00 pm.

Plant for this week: There is a scheduled plant of 750 lbs. of trout on 9/27/01 by EBRPD. Scheduled trout plants may be redirected to deeper lakes or substituted with catfish plants.

Surface water temp.: Approx 68-72 deg., at the marina.

Water level: approx. 700 feet above sea level.

Trout bait fishing: Trout Fishing last weekend did a dramatic turn around. Large amount of limits were being caught between venados campground and swallow rock cove. Morning and afternoons was the best time and yellow or orange power bait was the preferred bait.

Trout trolling: Trolling for trout down by the dam is still ok. Anglers are getting a few limits, no big fish. Anglers are averaging 3 fish per rod. Dodgers or a flasher with a night crawler seems to be the best rig right now. Using a downrigger or pink lady is recommended. Swallow bay started producing trout when trolling especially near badger cove.

Trolling depth: approx. 15-25 feet.

Catfish: The south end and swallow bay has been the best places to catch cats, but there have been catfish caught all over the lake. Anchovies, chicken livers and mackerel all seem to work. Approximately 1-2 per rod

Bass: The bass action is very good, use night crawler or rubber worms in the coves and near cover. Top water action near the weeds and tules is also producing results. Striped bass action has really picked up also. Trolling with large lures such as rat-l-traps or rebels are working, but some stripers are being caught with chicken livers or mackerel.

Crappie: Some blue gills are now being caught in the coves and near cover using pieces of night crawlers or mealworms
